George is a singer-songwriter based in Vienna, whose (live) musical journey began in the summer of 2023 when he started gigging with his indie rock band "Down To Earth Explorers". Together, they captured audiences in the intimate venues scattered along the famous Gürtel in Vienna.
Beyond the band, George discovered a profound connection with his solo work, often stripping his songs down to their acoustic core. His singer-songwriter style embodies the essence of Indie Folk, infused with a unique blend of punky, energetic, and raw attitude. Influenced by the likes of Conor Oberst, Bruce Springsteen, Pete Doherty, and the literary prowess of Ernest Hemingway, George's music reflects a deep appreciation for storytelling and a raw, introspective approach to songwriting.
Drawing inspiration from the evergoing ambivalence between the British and the American, George's music weaves together elements of both cultures, resulting in a sound that is as eclectic as it is captivating. Through his music, George paints vivid portraits of daily life, drawing from his observations and recollections gathered over the years.
